Annie and Matt celebrated their nuptials at the beautiful home her mother designed in Afton, surrounded by friends, family, and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Their day was filled with so much love and sentimental touches.

Annie's mother Roxanne passed away in the weeks leading up to their autumn wedding which made finalizing plans difficult and emotional. Annie knew she wanted to honor her and found the most thoughtful ways throughout her wedding day to recognize her: in the locket with her mother’s portrait tied to her bridal bouquet, the vows she and Matt exchanged, the art easel splattered with dry paint on which the seating assignments were displayed, and naturally, in the setting of the whole celebration, the work of art designed and brought to life by Roxanne herself.

Annie spent the morning with her beautiful maids sipping on champagne and sharing laughs while Matt and his groomsmen shared stories and a few brews before guests began to arrive. Annie's father walked her down the aisle to her groom, and the pair's ceremony was officiated by a dear friend in the family garden. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour by the pool while a string duo provided live music. Family-style dining took place under a big sail tent pitched in the backyard, and everyone danced until dawn in the greenhouse.

Even though Roxanne wasn't sitting in the front row at her daughter's wedding, you could feel there was so much love in the mountains that day, and there's no doubt she was shining down on her daughter as she married the man of her dreams.
