Mary Lewis & Jamey
Montalto Mountaintop Wedding
Mary Lewis and Jamey wed in an open-air affair atop one of Charlottesville's highest peaks, Montalto. With 360-degree views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the setting was breathtaking and one of the most beautiful venues to feature for their family and friends traveling from near and far to celebrate with them. From shuttles taking guests from the Monticello visitor center up the perilous mountain, to pre-ceremony beverages and a melodious string quartet serenading guests as they arrived, to a sentimental vow exchange officiated by the bride's great uncle, to a cocktail hour on the patio of Repose - the 11,000 square-foot house overlooking the expansive property - to a dreamy fête underneath a grand sailcloth tent decked out in bistro lights, Mary Lewis and Jamey's beautiful wedding was one for the books! Working with this duo to bring their design full of texture, color, and mixed metals to life was a highlight of my career, and navigating the challenges of such an intricate, historic venue - not to mention planning amidst a pandemic! - challenged and forced us to get creative. I'm so thankful we were able to give these two healthcare heroes the wedding of their dreams and fill their day with memories that will undoubtedly last them a lifetime!
