Hunt Club Happily Ever After

As a planner, I'm probably not supposed to have a 'favorite wedding of all time,' but if I did, this one would be it, hands down. Everything about Patty and Luca's wedding was truly straight out of a storybook — not to mention they’re just the kindest human beings and really the kind of people you just want to be around. What started off as planning for a large-scale wedding at the groom's family home in Somerset, took a complete left turn and ended up being a more intimate wedding ceremony celebrated in a church and followed by a breathtaking reception at the Keswick Hunt Club. In between the two milestones, the wedding party took photos at UVA's lawn (the groom's graduate school alma mater) as well as the stunning Ben Coolyn Farm. Patty and Luca embraced the rain and and had the best time taking photos in the farm’s beautiful private gardens. The newlyweds made a fashionably late entrance in a classic Jaguar to their reception where their guests greeted them, enjoyed cocktails amongst their friends and family on the porch, and then stepped inside to celebrate at the stunningly decorated Hunt Club. Lush flowers crawled up the mantle, hung from the wooden chandeliers and framed the stage, candlelight and mixed metal mercury votives added warmth to the tabletop, and custom linen napkins and a banner with the newlyweds’ initials hung above the fireplace. No detail of the day from start to finish was overlooked, truly making this fairytale wedding — and fairytale couple — one for the (story)books!
